Today I got a message with the information that our short film “In Your Shoes”, which we submitted to LANNEFF Festival in L.A., is in the top 100 of more than 1000 submissions. There will already be shown a snippet and should it be shown completely, I will soon get info about it.
YES!!! Will we be nominated and win a prize?
During my sound design/music production apprenticeship we got a midi melody from our lecturer Michael Jakumeit and had to build a one minute song around it in half a day. This is my result, inspired by 80s pop like Nena.
Btw: It was mixed only on the headphones I’m using here. I didn’t go into the studio as well for this fun project.
Christian Scheffer had a small music video production going and I was one of the main actors for this. I’m not really used to act in front of the camera, but it was an awesome experience and lots of fun. And yes, I had to shave my beard for it. The first time in 20 years I saw my complete face again, haha.
Thanks to opera singer Bettina Jensen, director Christian Scheffer and WAVE AKADEMIE. Also to Christoph Gehl and Svetlana Hofmann for the awesome camera work and to Niko Krüger and Marc Sam for helping on set with light, equipment and just everything. I’m excited for the result.
We had a nice vocal recording session for the second part of the image film for “Bogen trifft”. Again I made a simple but very useful setup. Also I built a vocal booth in one of the studios. Thanks to opera singer Bettina Jensen, director Christian Scheffer, initiator Frank Schach and WAVE AKADEMIE.
As I already told you I was on set for this film as boom operator, did the voice recording later in the studio and also made the audio post production. Here is the final piece of art, directed by Christian Scheffer.
Hi! This is my remix for the “Produce Like A Pro” contest for the song by “The Workday Release”. I used the vocal and acoustic guitar stems and built the rest around it. Let me know what you think. Enjoy listening. 🙂

I made it in FL Studio. The main instruments are the American Grand Solo piano by Analog Lab 3, the Orchestral Suite by UVI, Autogun synth by Image-Line, TAL Elek7ro and samples. For mixing and mastering I used internal EQs, MLoudnessAnalyzer, Waves tools such as SSL Comp, J37 tape emulation, L3-LL and NLS channels for summing. Room effects are Waves IR-L reverb (IR of York Minster England/Church) and H-Delay (tape delay). I also used the CLA-76 and CLA-2A, such as the Kings Microphones on the vocals.
Last night I saw the video shortly after the premiere. I just watched it again. And I have to say, the power of sound and vision has given me wet eyes. Really. Apart from the fact that I look at the overall package also from production-technical perspectives, so for example the sound design at the beginning, I find a clear statement was set with a lot of (partly subtle) signs, with an artistic implementation, which I personally like very much.

Today I had a really cool voice recording session at Wave Akademie together with Peggy Wochatz as voice-over artist, who plays the protagonist in the recently filmed corporate movie, and Christian Scheffer , filmmaker and director of the entire project. Thank you for this wonderful morning.
