“We can not close our ears, they are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and they discern everything, consciously or unconsciously. And let’s be honest, what would we be without sounds, without music, without little music tunes, who pick us up, even if it’s sometimes just for a short moment.”
Hi and welcome. My name is Fabian Marschelewski, born in 1982, and based in Berlin.
Since I can think I am somehow always creative and musically interested and active. My parents contributed a lot to it. Thanks for that! Singing lessons, as well as guitar playing, made me aware of music early. My first organs and keyboards were enthusiastically played. My tape recorder helped me for early edits (overdubs, sound snippets, own shows, etc.) and sounds from the surrounding area always aroused my interest (I liked to sing harmonies to the monotonous sound of our vacuum cleaner).
In the last 20 years, I gained a lot of experience as a music producer and I’m constantly evolving. While at the beginning I was only composing electronic music in a DAW, nowadays I also deal with vocal recordings, field recordings, sound mixing, room acoustics, film sound and more. By the way, I am involved in video and image processing and work as a boom operator on film sets.
After two successfully completed vocational trainings, from which I bring know-how in sales and promotion, communication training, as well as planning and presentation of projects, I currently reorient myself professionally. With the competent training to become a music producer and state-approved sound designer, I continue to professionalize myself, acquire and expand creative, technical and market relevant knowledge and also gain experience through new contacts and networks. It is important for me to develop steadily and to always go one step further.
People say I’m renowned for specific strengths such as lateral thinking, enthusiasm for new and empathic cooperation, as well as flexibility, commitment and willingness to learn. What I start, I finish in a timely and responsible manner. In addition, I enjoy every casual and humorous encounter, to develop ideas, gather results or just for a pleasant chat.
It’s time for the next step. I look forward to positive feedback and your orders.
